Vintage Art Moderne 1940s single cut twelve diamond row platinum wedding band

An early 1940s (1942) wedding band with a row of single cut diamonds tucked in platinum. The shank gathers on either end of the ten-diamond row, with two further diamonds set at the shoulders. The inside is engraved for a wedding January 19th, 1942. This would have been just a little over one month after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Was this couple marrying before the fellow went to war? We will never know. A well-loved ring ready for a new chapter.
