Antique Art Deco 1920s 18K SIZE 6 US 18K Belais engraved wedding band

A slim Art Deco wedding band with engraved details on three sides. The band was made by Belais Manufacturing Co., the original patent holders of white gold in the United States and a highly regarded fine jewelry brand during this period. The band has a pretty blossom pattern around the entirety as well as etching on both sides. One side of this band is nearly worn of texture (evidence that it rest against a wedding ring for decades!) while the other side retains its crisp, bridal wreath pattern. A lovely, nearly century-old band. 

Lang Antiques via Antique Jewelry University has this side note to offer about the founder of Belais Manufacturing Co.

"As an interesting aside, David Belais may be better known for his efforts on behalf of animals as the founder in 1904 of the Humane Society of New York. He served without pay as its President until his death. In 1929, he was also instrumental in establishing the first free animal clinic at the Humane Society headquarters."

Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.

International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
