Antique 1910s 10K .60 carat SI1/M Old European Cut diamond engagement ring
A romantic turn-of-the-century engagement ring from J.R. Wood & Sons. The ring is 10K yellow gold with the sideways "W" and "XXX" hallmarks that the company used in the early 1900s. The willowy whiplash curves and flowing lines of the setting are characteristic of Art Nouveau design and rare to find in engagement rings. I suspect that this ring originally held a colored stone and was later updated with this diamond. This .60 carat diamond has particularly lovely proportions, with a high crown and flowery facet face-up pattern. It is a super example of a fiery and warm-bodied Old European Cut. This diamond also displays the kozibe effect: the reflection of the culet facet across the crown facets, which is a lovable feature of old cut stones.

Shipping
Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
