Antique Victorian 1910 18K diamond and demantoid garnet ring

An Edwardian 18K half hoop ring with alternating diamonds and lime-green demantoid garnets in a graduated row. The ring has full English hallmarks, including an assay date of 1910 (see note). The yellow gold mounting has pierced "porthole" details to the north and south of each gem, the wonderful effect of a belcher setting. It is special to experience the exhilarating color and brilliance of demantoid garnets, one of the world's rarest gemstones. Excellent antique condition with all stones original. 

Note: I think this ring was re-shanked at some point (evidence of original hallmarks are visible inside the band near the stones) and I suspect that it dates a bit earlier than 1910.

Shipping

Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.

International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
