Antique 14K old mine cut diamond Victorian diamond checkerboard droplet dormeuse earrings

A glorious pair of 2.42 carat Victorian old mine and cushion cut diamond droplet dormeuse-style earrings. This short style of drop earrings was popular during the Victorian period and into the early 1900s, when low buns and severely parted hairstyles often covered most of the ear but left the earlobe and drop earrings visible! Each earring here is set with ten old mine cut diamonds, four of which are arranged in a neat, compact square at the center with the remaining stones set as an evenly-spaced trim. Each diamond is different from the next, exhibiting the hand-cut charm of the era. All of the diamonds are set within a scalloped or blossom-shaped frame. Comfortable, lever-back or "dormeuse" style closure. Excellent antique condition.

Note: These earrings come with an insurance appraisal completed by a GIA Graduate Gemologist.

Shipping

Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.

International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
