Vintage 1940s .80 carat VS2/I Old European Cut diamond solitaire engagement ring
A stunning 18K solitaire ring with a .80 carat Old European Cut diamond in a Retro-Era half-bezel setting that recalls earlier design eras. This style setting is an off-shoot of the full bezel or belcher settings popular in the early 1900s, and the ring certainly does have a Victorian quality to it. The ring pays homage to the Art Deco Era, too, with the streamlined, minimalist design of its mounting. In my opinion, this ring offers the best of three Eras: Victorian, Art Deco, and Retro. It is thrilling to see the diamond through the galleries of the ring, as the half-bezel setting allows. The .80 carat Old Euro is on full display with light access from all angles. The result is an uber-sparkling old cut diamond in a rich and hefty high carat setting. One of my favorite engagement rings of all time!
This ring comes with a jewelry appraisal for insurance/replacement. The appraisal is set at $5500.

Shipping
Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
