Vintage 18K Art Deco 1930s 1.12 carat OEC diamond engagement ring
An Art Deco 1+ carat old cut diamond engagement ring is always a welcome addition to our inventory! This ring has a sleek, linear design highlighting a juicy, light-filled 1.12 carat Old European Cut diamond center. Low profile with just a touch of engraved detail at the shoulders.
Art Deco bridal design exists on a spectrum, with busy filigree mountings at one end and minimal geometric settings on the other. This ring is a beautiful demonstration of the latter. The ring has rectangular and square "steppe" style shoulders that mimic baguette cut diamonds AND celebrate the architectural "setback" style popular during the Art Deco Era. A great example is skyscrapers, which were being built for the first time in the 1920s and were required to have ‘setbacks’ in their design: stepped, recessed elements at the top of the building to allow light to reach the ground below.

Shipping
Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
