Vintage 1940s 1.42 carat Emerald Cut diamond engagement ring
This heart-skipping 1.42 carat emerald cut diamond solitaire ring is set in platinum with elegant baguette-cut diamond shoulders. This diamond is notable for its extraordinary length-to-width ratio - 1.9 - and its GIA grade of VS1/D. It strrreetttches along the finger north-to-south for nearly 10mm (which is miles in diamond-land!) and sparkles all along the way with generous pulses of light and color. The "hall of mirrors" effect is strong with this one, as is the serene, steady and luxurious quality of the diamond's brilliance. One in a million.
The exceptional GIA color and clarity grades for this diamond are well-suited to the emerald cut style, which leaves nowhere for diamond imperfections to hide. The large step facets run nearly the entire length and width of the diamond, revealing the quality of the diamond millimeter by millimeter. This diamond is near perfection and is flanked by straight diamond baguettes and full cut "stoppers" of near equal quality. This ring comes with a jewelry appraisal for insurance/replacement as well as a GIA Diamond Report.

Shipping
Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
