Antique Art Deco 1930s 18K .52 carat Old Mine Cut diamond engagement ring

A ruggedly beautiful old mine cut diamond tucked into an Art Deco filigree mounting. The setting here is noteworthy: 18K white gold and hand-sawn and engraved with heaps of detail up the shoulders and around the gallery. The .52 carat old miner diamond is set in an octagonal head. This stone has a very large culet (visible as a dark contrast point at the bottom of the diamond!) and the funkiest table and crown we have seen in a while. The diamond pre-dates the setting but we love the partnership here: a quirky, assymetyrical stone in a linear, formulaic mounting. A serenade to 19th and 20th century sensibilities.

Measurements: Size 7 US, 2.9 grams. This ring may be sized in the 5-8 US range for $75.

Era: 1920s-1930s
Markings: 18K and a jeweler's mark (difficult to identity, certainly American)

Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.

International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
