Antique Victorian Etruscan Revival 14K hinged drop earrings with pearls and enamel

A dynamic and exceptional pair of Victorian Etruscan Revival earrings in 14K gold with black tracery and split pearl details. There are so many wonderful elements to this pair, starting with the pearl-set upper. Trios of pearls are stacked in a beveled, rectangular drop with whorls of milgrained gold wire and gold spheres framing. If the earrings stopped here, they would already be superb! But this upper portion suspends an oval drop and folded gold "ribbon." The oval shield is thin with a rectangular window through the center, allowing the folded center to pass through and enjoy some movement. Twisted wire detail and applied granules of gold accent the face. The folded portion is thin and cast with a pretty pattern, once enameled and now mostly worn due to age. Terminating spheres. Kidney wire closure. Light as a feather to wear.

Shipping

Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.

International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
