Vintage 1950s Norwegian Aksel Holmsen winter silhouette enamel panel bracelet
A mid-century Norwegian winter scene panel bracelet by silversmith Askel Holmsen. Holmsen apprenticed with David Andersen at the turn of the 20th century and went on to establish his own atelier, which produced silver and enamel jewelry through the early 1970s. This bracelet shows a variety of Scandinavian winter scenes in silhouette against cold blue and pink skies. A Viking ship, a leggy moose, a reindeer and sled, a cliffside, and a fishing boat comprise the five panels. Each vignette is separated by a black enamel flower-shaped spacer. Excellent condition and wonderfully evocative of low, winter light!
Measurements: 17.2 grams, 7" end to end, 14.5mm wide (widest point of panel)

Shipping
Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
