Vintage Mid-Century 1950s Georg Jensen silver cabochon ring
A mid-century ring from Georg Jensen, executing a design that Mr. Jensen himself drafted in 1904, at the height of the Art Nouveau period and in the first year of his company. This ring is marked with design number "1A," which indicates an early motif in the Danish silversmith's archive. The ring is part of the larger "Moonlight Blossom" series, designed by Jensen through the 1910s and continued today with new designs from the company.
The ring has a deceptively simple design and is fashioned completely in sterling silver, with a silver cabochon "set" at the center like a gemstone. Leaf, bud, and intricate metalwork trims the cabochon. Split shoulders.
This ring is featured in prominent books about Jensen's work, including "Georg Jensen, A Tradition of Splendid Silver" by Janet Drucker and others. Of all the Jensen pieces, this ring is surely one of the most collectible and valuable.

Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
