Antique Victorian gold cased Taille d'Epargne enamel bracelet pair with original box
A mint condition pair of gold cased Victorian taille d'epargne bracelets given as a gift to a young woman named Louise Frank on Christmas Day, 1879. This style of intricately engraved and enameled bracelet peaked in popularity in the mid-late 1800s. These bracelets exhibit exceptional workmanship with multiple gold textures creating a backdrop for the black tracery designs. There are two motifs on each bracelet, allowing the wearer to display on or the other or both across the pair. The hinge and clasp points are completely hidden by this remarkable craftsmanship. The oval shape of this style makes for a true fit on the wrist and these are really a joy to wear. These were clearly worn with great care, as the enamel is pristine and the bracelet closes with a tight, like-new "click." Original box marked "Made in France." Original safety chains present. Nearly 150 years old and begging to be worn again!

Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
