Vintage dead stock 1930s Ostby & Barton sterling silver statement rings

A collection of 1930s Art Deco dead stock/old "new" stock sterling silver dress rings from Ostby & Barton. Ostby & Barton produced jewelry across the market and they were at the height of their powers in the early 20th century, when they were the largest jewelry manufacturer in the country and the largest ring manufacturer in the world. Their Art Deco rings have long been favorites of mine, both costume and fine. Tragically, one of the founders — Englehart C. Ostby — died in the sinking of The Titanic in 1912. His daughter, also a passenger, survived. A macabre connection no doubt, but one that deepens the historical significance of the brand and tugs at the heart.

These rings, which would have been marketed as gentlemen's rings, are cast in sterling silver and set with candy-colored, simulated stones. Antiqued details on the shoulders and around the face add contrast. Exquisite condition.

Note: These rings can be sized up to two sizes for a fee of $70. Please reach out for adjusted pricing.
