Vintage 14K 1950s .35 carat diamond engagement bridal set
A mid-century 14K bridal set from the Ball Company of Chicago. The solitaire ring contains a .35 carat round brilliant cut diamond set in a square head with scalloped edges. The accompanying wedding band - which is currently soldered to the ring - is set with six single cut diamonds. These stones are set in pairs aligning east to west, giving them the look of marquise diamonds! Bridal sets don't often last together over the decades and this set is mighty sweet.
The Ball Company, founded by Webb C. Ball, was a jeweler and watchmaker based in Chicago beginning in 1913. They introduced their Garland line in 1924, named after the Garland Building in Chicago where they operated. Known primarily for their watches, Ball Company also produced some fine jewelry. Garland pieces were produced until 1960 and are collectible today since they are rarer than the company’s watches.
Measurements: Size 7 1/4 US, 3.8 grams total weight. These may be sized in the 5-8 US range for $140.

Shipping
Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
