Antique Victorian "2-7-78" 1870s 18K gold wedding band or stacking ring
An 18K yellow gold band engraved "C. Lohman to F. Lohman, Feb. 7, '78." The couple exchanging this band lived through the Civil War and Reconstruction and was witness to one of the most turbulent and violent times in American History. That they share a surname is of interest: perhaps the ring was exchanged some years after the wedding? An enduring symbol of love and devotion, nearly 150 years old.
Measurements: Size 11 1/4 US, 8.6 grams, 6.4 mm wide
Era: Victorian Era, 1870s (1878)
Markings: Personal engraving as described above and "18" for fineness

Shipping
Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
