Antique Victorian 1880s 18K wide yellow gold wedding band or stacking ring

A wide and substantial 18K yellow gold band, marked for the venerable American jewelry house of C.D. Peacock. C.D. Peacock was considered "The Tiffany's of Chicago," and it is the oldest surviving retailer in the city today. Their inventory even survived the Chicago Fire of 1871, thanks to a fire-proof safe! This band is just over 6.5mm wide with a blushing yellow gold tone and pretty patina.

Measurements: Size 7 1/2 US (fits like a 7 due to width), 4 grams
Era: 1880s-1900s
Markings: "PEACOCK 18K"
