Antique 1930s Art Deco .56 carat Old European Cut 18K filigree solitaire engagement ring

A classic Art Deco solitaire ring with a .56 carat Old European Cut diamond tucked in a romantic filigree mounting. The VS1/H diamond rests in an 18K white gold setting. Lacy filigree details up the shoulders and around the gallery are outlined in crisp milgrain. The head of the ring is hexagonal and polished smooth, with the diamond flush set to great effect. The diamond exhibits gorgeous, checkerboard "light/dark" brilliance across the facets. The sparkle is crisp and consistent. The cut is symmetrical and approaching the standardized proportions of the modern round brilliant, but . . . not quite! Unique facet shapes prevail upon close inspection and a small-ish table and tiny culet give this stone away as an older cut. The low profile of this ring make it an excellent choice for someone who works a lot with his/her/their hands. Beautiful engraved details trail down the lower shank.

Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.

International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
