RESERVED // Antique 1870s Victorian English mourning with with pearl Forget-Me-Not
A 15 carat gold pearl and enamel mourning ring with a Forget-Me-Not motif. The ring is dedicated to a engraved for a loss in the year 1872. The ring has blue enamel inlay along the shoulders and the background of the face. The shoulders have a "ladder" of enameled lines that widen as they approach the oval face. A pearl-petaled Forget-Me-Not with bejeweled leaves is outlined in gold with a pretty frame. The underside of the face holds a piece of hairwork tightly woven and held in a compartment under glass. The color of the hair suggests that this was a young person. Loss to enamel consistent with age.
Measurements: Size 4 1/4 US, 2.5 grams. We do not recommend sizing this ring.

Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
