Vintage Art Moderne gilt medallion necklace with double chain

An early 1940s collar necklace with Art Deco influence, featuring double herringbone chains and a large, colorful medallion. The medallion (2" round) is domed and cast with a stained-glass style openwork. The medallion is set with round rhinestones in red, green, and blue and also painted with gold paint. Rhinestones are foiled. The decorative clasp is mounted with a rhinestone cluster that echos the medallion. Some loss to the gold paint on the and discoloration on the chains consistent with age and wear. Overall appearance is still excellent. Push tab clasp.
