Antique Victorian 2.60 CTW old cut diamond halo cluster engagement ring
A honey-toned 1.45 carat Old European Cut diamond trimmed in rose cut rounds with teardrops to the east and west. This ring encompasses 200 years of materials, history, and adornment. I think that the rose cut diamond trim and the spiral-patterned back are Georgian: firmly ca. 1810s-1830s. Perhaps this component originally framed a foil-backed stone in a cufflink or earring? Perhaps it has always been a ring? We will never know. What we DO know is that the rose cuts are all original and the little spurs on the sides are the kind of detail that we live for! The 9 carat shank seems to date to the early 20th century, possibly when a new owner decided to repair or modify the original design. When we acquired this piece, the center stone was absent so we chose a dazzling Old European cut diamond to complete the story. This is a completely one of a kind ring with a low, practical profile and lively, blushing brilliance.

Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
