Antique 1910s large gilt brooch with pink glass and spring flowers

A ca. 1910s gilt brooch in oval shape with openwork, glass accents, and crisp floral details. This piece may originally have been a sash ornament, worn at the waist or somewhere on the bodice. It would be beautiful worn similarly, or on a lapel, scarf, beret, etc. The brooch is large but light, with four arrow-shaped, ruby-grapefruit colored glass stones positioned in the openwork quadrants. Little metalwork flowers - baby's breath or something small and spring-y - fill the spaces between the glass. The frame is solid with faux granular details. Bright gold, gilt finish. Pin closure. Excellent Edwardian condition!
