Vintage 1940s Order of the Eastern Star Masonic 1.78 CTW diamond ring

Dare I say that this is the most spectacular Order of the Eastern Star Masonic ring on the internet?! I do. Entirely custom made with an engraved square frame (16mm x 16mm) containing a suite of gemstones, some of which are arranged as symbols of the order. A spectacular 1.35 carat Old European Cut diamond is the great surprise here (VS1/L-M), and we also love the smaller .28 carat stone tucked in the corner diagonal. Single cut diamonds are arranged as a gavel, indicating that this ring was owned by the presiding officer or "Worthy Matron" of a of a chapter. The gavel is a symbol of her virtue and authority. The five-pointed, colorful (synthetic gemstones) star is the most recognized symbol of the Order of the Eastern Star. Each colored arm of the star represents a different heroine in the Bible: Adah, Ruth, Esther, Martha, and Electa. Each heroine provides examples of moral conduct and inspiring principles, which members strive to embody. A branch of the Freemasons, the Order of the Eastern Star is a social organization dedicated to community service and charitable works, founded in 1850 as a branch of Freemasonry open to women. An absolute stunner.
