Antique Edwardian 1910s 14K platinum-topped gemstone bar pin
A stunning turn-of-the-century bar pin in its original box. While I believe that this piece was imported (the hallmarks appear to be Dutch), it was sold in America by William Friswell Jewelers in Norwich, CT. The lithe design pre-dates the Art Deco Era. A thin (1.2mm x 2.4mm) squared-off bar of platinum-topped gold runs the length of the pin, supporting little scalloped cups at either ends to hold a pearl. A pair of oblique-set gemstones cling to the bar near the center. A .50 carat Old European Cut diamond set in platinum and a .60 carat natural sapphire set in gold. Catch and safety lever closure. A beautiful pin for a lapel or tie! Also, a versatile piece to pass down or reimagine, thanks to the beautiful gemstones.
Note: This piece comes with a jewelry appraisal for insurance/replacement. The appraisal is set at $3700.

Shipping
Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
