Vintage "1-2-49" 1940s platinum and seven diamond wedding or anniversary band
A late 1940s seven-diamond wedding band engraved for a marriage the day after New Year's Day, 1949. The platinum band is channel set with seven twinkling round brilliant cut diamonds. Subtle knife-edge shoulders. It is possible that this ring once held single cuts and was re-set with modern cuts at some point. It is also possible that these are the original diamonds, since round brilliant cuts were just finding their way to jewelry benches around 1950. Engraved on the inside are the initials of the couple and their wedding date.

Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
