Antique Edwardian English 1910s 15K gold and platinum aquamarine bar pin
This pretty aquamarine brooch is English-made and dates to the Edwardian Era, when "platinum topped" yellow gold jewelry was en vogue. The body of this piece is in coveted 15 carat gold, a fineness that was discontinued in England in 1932. The pin is toped in platinum, which compliments the sparkling rose cut diamonds and accentuates the crisp, cool color of the aquamarine. The long "bar" pin has sleek tapered sides with diamond accents and pierced open work around the aquamarine, which measures 8 x 6mm oval and seems to float calmly at the center of the brooch.
This would be a beautiful bridal "something blue" piece, pinned in the hair or to a bodice or lapel. This piece may also be worn as a vertical pendant on a platinum or gold chain. Excellent antique condition. Lever clasp.

International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping.
