Antique 1910s Austro-Hungarian diamond solitaire engagement ring
A flush set diamond solitaire ring with marks for Austria-Hungary and the year 1919. The round brilliant diamond - most likely a replacement for the original Old Euro or Old Mine Cut - is flush set in a rotated square recess. Ever-so-subtle knife edge ridge along the shoulders and a gentle taper to the shank. Engraved for November 1st, 1919 inside the band. Likely a wedding day just a few months after the end of WWI. This ring has such a timeless design, it is hard to believe it is over 100 years old! Excellent condition and a super choice for an engagement ring.
Measurements: Size 5 3/4 US, 2.4 grams
Diamond details: (1) 2.8 mm Round brilliant cut diamond, .10 CTW, VS/G-H
Era: 1910s (1919)
Markings: Austro-Hungarian mark for small gold article, left-facing fox's head in cartouche with fineness (4) (580, or 14K) and RAO letter for Vienna. Partial goldsmith mark also visible.

Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
