Antique 1920s Czechoslovakian blue glass sautoir necklace
A ca. 1920s Czechoslovakian brass and blue glass necklace at matinee length with a 4" tasseled glass drop. The piece was imported during the Art Deco period, when Czech glass jewelry was all the rage. This particular necklace is special because of the twisted rope chain upper and the clear sautoir-style design. There is no clasp - this is made to go right over the head! Crystal-quality faceted glass beads - notably the rectangular prong-set piece in the pendant drop - is a hallmark of Czech jewelry from this period. Pretty findings. All original in outstanding condition.
Measurements: 24" chain, pendant drop 4 1/4"
Era: 1920s-1930s
Markings: CZECHOSLOVAKIA
