Vintage platinum 1.02 carat Old European Cut engagement ring

An elegant mid-century diamond engagement ring with a 1.02 carat Old European Cut mounted in platinum with round and baguette diamond accents. This ring has perfect proportions and the eye is drawn in with every movement of the hand. Pairs of straight baguette diamonds form "V"s at the shoulders, each pair anchored in a round brilliant cut base. The baguettes lead the eye to the head of the ring, where the Old European Cut diamond seems to float. The diamond is exquisite, with the checkerboard light/dark brilliance that we love in old cut diamonds. The facets here are luscious and inviting, guiding the eye up the steep crown and then back down through the table to the open culet. The mounting here is every bit as captivating as the diamond herself: the baguettes add a sensual, classic quality that we love.
