Antique 14K 1910s Camp Fire Club of American figural award medallion
A 14K Art Nouveau-Era Camp-Fire Club of America medallion, just shy of 17 grams and bearing the fabulous symbolism of the club: a pot on forked spit over a cozy campfire, a ram's head, and a frame of pinecones. The Camp-Fire Club of America was founded in 1897 in New York State, one of the country's earliest conservation societies and a model for future wildlife and wilderness organizations. Their list of accomplishments in the early 20th century is remarkable, including the Migratory Bird Act, the establishment of the American Bison Society, and the launching of National Park Standards, including the creation of Glacier National Park. The club is active to this day, along with its Conversation Fund, established in 1977.
The high-relief pendant is in remarkable condition and was likely overstock, since most surviving medallions from this era are engraved with an accomplishment or award placement (angling, trapping, etc.) on the verso as well as a date. Solid 14K gold. Chain not included.

Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
