Antique Victorian ca. 1830s 22K rose cut diamond starburst and enamel drop earrings
A glorious pair of 1 CTW antique rose cut diamond droplet earrings, ca. 1830s and European in origin. This short style of drop earrings was popular during the Victorian period and into the early 1900s, when low buns and severely parted hairstyles often covered most of the ear but left the earlobe and drop earrings visible. The scalloped 22K yellow gold forms a blossom-shaped surround for the starburst-set diamonds. The gold of the frame is gently textured and the inner curves are accented in black enamel. The center of each earring is set with seven rose cut diamonds - one large and six smaller - tucked in a 10K rose gold and silver starburst. Each diamond is different from the next, exhibiting the hand-cut charm of the era. Comfortable, lever-back or "dormeuse" style closure with wig loops to help stabilize the front-heavy style of this earring. A truly stunning pair and supremely wearable.

Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
