Antique 1800s Georgian rhodolite flat cut garnet brooch
A spectacular flat cut garnet brooch with sixty-one rhodolite garnets in blushing purplish-pink. I believe this brooch was once part of a larger, Georgian-Era piece - possibly a sash ornament or aigrette - and was set with a pin back at some point during the Victorian Era. This style of foil-backed, flat cut garnet jewelry is characteristic of the Georgian Era and absolutely beloved for its beauty and charm. There are five different cuts of garnet here with the gemstones arranged in a circular mount with a flower-shaped center. Absolutely stunning worn as a brooch or suspended from a chain. Gilt silver mounting, mostly worn to the silver. One garnet is a replacement, a few others are chipped, cracked or abraded consistent with age. Overall appearance is lovely.

Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
