Antique 1820s Georgian gold, garnet and pearl ring
A Late Georgian ring with a garnet and pearl surround in a silver and gold mounting. This ring has gorgeous shoulders, forked and dimpled with a scalloped edge and foliate style. The face features a flat cut garnet in a notched collet with a trim of creamy pearls in a crimped head. The head of the ring is silver with a gold plating, the shoulders and upper shank are 9 CT and the lower shank appears to be a ca. 1900s sizing job in marked 15 CT gold. The silver is visible on two sides of the head, giving some sense as to the meticulous construction of the ring in the early 19th century. We can even see the little rivets used to secure the gold paneling! Lovely, wearable condition for a 200-year-old ring.
Note: Because of the age and construction of this ring (i.e. a closed back) we recommend gentle as opposed to daily wear.

Shipping
Domestic: In-stock items ship within three days of purchase (usually within two!) via USPS. Our default is USPS Priority Mail unless your purchase is over $1,000, in which case we require USPS Express Mail + signature confirmation. Insurance is included with all domestic purchases.
International: Default shipping is via USPS First Class International Mail unless the value of the parcel is $400 or more, in which case we default to USPS Priority Mail International shipping. Please allow 3–4 weeks for delivery. Insurance for international orders is available upon request and for an added fee.
